We were able to get so much work done in just 3 full work days and many other days of going back to work on details of jobs. Here is a list of what we have accomplished up to this point:
Master Bedroom, Sink Area & Closet: water damage repaired, primed & painted, replaced bathroom light fixture, vanity cabinet handles, repainted head & foot boards, new curtain rod, curtains, bedside lamps & bedding
Main Living Area: Demolished large staircase & glass block half-wall, replaced with half-wall to safely separate lower living area & upper dining/kitchen area, primed & painted new wall
Outside: Siding repairs, cleaned deck areas, back & front yard, repainted deck furniture
The remaining balance of the funds is $739. We are looking into the cost of putting gutters on the back of the house to help preserve the siding on the house along with installing an attic fan to increase energy efficiency in the summer. The Sutherlands have indicated these as priorities along with needing the exterior of their house repainted. We will keep you updated!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked throughout the two weeks on the improvements and to those who also donated funds and prayed but were unable to physically be there to work. We appreciate ALL contributions!
